ZWCAD has been in use for a period of time but suddenly fails to start when double-clicked. How to resolve this issue?

Method 1:

Clean the ZWCAD user directory.

Method 2:

If cleaning the user directory does not resolve the issue, refer to the steps below.

  1. Press Win + R to open the Run dialog.
  2. Insert services.msc and press Enter or click OK to open the Services window.
  3. Locate the Windows Update service, double-click it, and set the Startup type to Disabled.
  4. Open Settings, go to Windows Update, and set a pause for updates.
  5. Check for Windows updates installed since the last normal startup. Uninstall the most recent updates one by one to test until the issue is fixed.
  6. Go to Control Panel to uninstall the corresponding Windows updates, then restart the computer.

Method 3:

If the above methods do not work, reinstall ZWCAD or the operating system.
