Issue:

For some Windows operating systems, during the installation of ZW3D, a prompt may appear saying OpenGL 3.0 or higher is required.... If you ignore this prompt and continue with the installation, there is a possibility that ZW3D may not be able to launch.

Causes:

OpenGL is a cross-language, cross-platform application programming interface (API) used for rendering 2D and 3D vector graphics. It is a part of the graphics card driver. Having a lower version of OpenGL will affect the launching of ZW3D and its 3D graphics display.

Solution:

There are two methods to resolve this issue:

  1. Update the graphics card driver to the latest version. You can download the corresponding graphics card driver from the official website of the graphics card manufacturer. Alternatively, you can also use third-party software to update the graphics card driver.
  2. Disable the malfunctioning graphics card driver. If updating the driver doesn't resolve the issue, you can try disabling the graphics card driver causing the problem. This will allow your computer to use a default driver or a different graphics card driver if available.
