Issue:

A drawing file opens successfully, but no geometry is visible.

Causes:

After opening the file, the CAD drawing is not displayed. Possible reasons include hidden objects, turned-off layers, the drawing being too far from the coordinate origin, and so on.

Solution:

  1. Choose Format → Layer. Check if layers are off or frozen. Turn them on if needed.
  2. Press Ctrl+1 to open the Properties panel. Press Ctrl+A to select all objects. Check the object count to confirm graphics exist.
  3. Check both Model and Layout tabs using Step 2 to find where graphics are located.
  4. Double-click the mouse middle button to zoom to fit the view.
  5. With no objects selected, check View Size in the Properties panel. If view size is extremely large, reset the view:
    a. Enter ZOOM in the command line and press Enter.
    b. Enter C and press Enter.
    c. Enter 0,0 as the center point.
    d. Set height to 10000 (or 100000+ for large drawings).
    e. If graphics are far from the origin, zoom out or pan to locate them.
