Issue:
A drawing file opens successfully, but no geometry is visible.
Causes:
After opening the file, the CAD drawing is not displayed. Possible reasons include hidden objects, turned-off layers, the drawing being too far from the coordinate origin, and so on.
Solution:
- Choose Format → Layer. Check if layers are off or frozen. Turn them on if needed.
- Press Ctrl+1 to open the Properties panel. Press Ctrl+A to select all objects. Check the object count to confirm graphics exist.
- Check both Model and Layout tabs using Step 2 to find where graphics are located.
- Double-click the mouse middle button to zoom to fit the view.
- With no objects selected, check View Size in the Properties panel. If view size is extremely large, reset the view:
a. Enter ZOOM in the command line and press Enter.
b. Enter C and press Enter.
c. Enter 0,0 as the center point.
d. Set height to 10000 (or 100000+ for large drawings).
e. If graphics are far from the origin, zoom out or pan to locate them.
