Issue: 

As shown in the figure below, when creating threaded hole features or flagging threads, thread specifications can be selected from a list. How can custom thread specifications be added?

 

Solution:

  1. In the software installation directory, navigate to the supp folder.
    Locate the Thread.xml file and Edit in     Notepad.

    Note: For marking external threads, the corresponding file is ExtThread.xml in the same folder.

  2. Add a new row, modifying relevant thread information such as SizeValue, Pitch, Callout, etc.
     
    After modification, save the file.
  3. Restart ZW3D. The new thread specification will now appear in the thread hole list.
