Issue: 

Mold standard components are typically positioned using the center point of a planar face as the placement reference.

As shown below, if the placement reference needs to be located at the center of the top face, follow the steps below to create the required Datum CSYS.

Solution:

1. Create a coordinate system using the Datum CSYS command.


2. Right-click in an empty area of the graphics window and select Point on Surface from the shortcut menu.

Note: Do not use the Face Centroid option. The centroid position is recalculated whenever the model geometry changes, which may cause the coordinate system location to update unexpectedly.



3. Select the Surface and click OK.

A Datum CSYS is then created at the center of the face, providing a stable placement reference that meets the design intent.
