Issue:
To ensure a smooth surface finish, the customer requires multi-pass machining when the Stepover is zero. But in the Profilecut operation, setting the Stepover to zero triggers a "Step value outside of allowed range" error. How can we set the multi-pass with a stepover of zero?
Solution:
- Retain the default settings for both Cutting Steps and Number of Cuts.
- Use Path Settings instead: set Side Finish Type to Only Side Finish, set Side Finish Number to the desired number of passes (e.g., 3). Side Finish Distance can then be set to zero.
- The toolpath will run 3 times when using Toolpath Verify.
- Post-process as usual: the same toolpath will be output the specified number of times.
