Issue:
Why is it impossible to select the Inner and Plate types when executing the Groove command in the ZW3D environment?
Causes:
There are generally two design methods in mold design: single-file multi-solid and assembly multi-file.
Partial mold functions cannot be used for multi-solid bodies in the assembly environment, and operations can only be performed on multi-file assemblies.
The Z3 format belongs to both single-file multi-solid and assembly multi-file modes, so additional settings are required to enable this function.
Solution:
The specific steps are as follows:
Select Mold → Tools → Config.
In the Mold Config, select Library, and change the Standard design mold .
Select Shape for operations between multiple solids.
Select Whole assembly for operations between multiple files.
Click OK.
