Issue:
When opening an existing drawing, the follwing pop-up window appears:" Some SHX files are missing" as shown below, how to add the corresponding SHX or TT fonts in ZWCAD?
Solution:
- For SHX fonts
1. Select the text showing ???, press CTRL+1 to open the Properties panel, and check its text style.
2. Execute the STYLE command to open the Text Style dialog box.
3. In the Current Style Name tab, locate the previous style with the missing font.
Then, in the Font tab on the right, check the name of the missing SHX font file.
As shown below, the missing font file is called WGSIMPL.SHX.
4. Search for the font file online and download it to the computer.
Copy the file into the Fonts folder of the corresponding ZWCAD version.
For example, in ZWCAD 2026, the Fonts folder is located at C:\zwsoft\zwcad2026\fonts.
5. Reopen the drawing with the missing font, and the text that previously displayed "???" will now appear correctly.
- For TTF fonts
1. Follow the similar steps with the instructions above, search for and download the missing font file from the Internet.
2.Please note that TTF fonts correspond to the system fonts on the local computer, so the file should be copied to C:\Windows\Fonts.
