How to import STEP files in ZWCAD?

Solution:

ZWCAD 2025 and later versions support the import of .ste, .stp, and .step format files.

  1. Click the menu Insert → STEP Import → STEP Import to open the file selection dialog box, and select the target STEP file to be opened.
  2. Configure the import effect in the STEP Import Settings dialog box and click OK.
  3. The imported graphic is presented as a block. The assembly structure can be examined within the Edit Block In-place environment.
