Issue:
How to draw Sprockets, Pulleys, and Chains in ZWCAD MFG?
Solution:
The following example demonstrates the process of drawing sprockets and chains in ZWCAD MFG. Please adjust the steps as needed according to your actual application.
Click the Tool Set → Sprocket/Pulley via Generators or shortcut: ZwmSprocket.
- Select [Sprocket], and follow the prompts.
- Follow the command line prompts to proceed.
- Select roller chain standard, and then click OK.
- Select Dimension, then click Next.
- Set the Geometry, then click Complete.
- The sprocket drawing is completed.(For the following chain example, repeat the steps to draw another sprocket.)
- Click the Tool Set → Length Calculation via Generators or shortcut: ZwmChainLengthCal.
- In the pop-up window, select Roller Chains, click Library to choose the roller chain standard and click OK.
Then select Length Calculation, and then click OK. Follow the command line prompts to select the pitch circle positions of the sprockets in sequence.
After four points are selected, a red polyline representing the chain will be created.Follow the command line prompts, and click the generated red polyline to display the chain length, the number of links, and the distance to the next link.
- Click the Tool Set → Chain/Belt Links via Generators or shortcut: ZwmChainDraw
- Select roller chain.
Following the prompts, select the sprocket polyline. Then, when the command line prompts select a point on polyline.
- Choose the link dimension, and then click OK.
- Set Geometry of Chain, and then click Complete.
- Specify the two connection directions of the links to complete the chain drawing, as shown below.
