Issue: 

How to make text appear as if viewed from the top while still in 3D mode, without changing the current view?

Solution:

  1. Enter the UCS command and press Enter.

  2. Enter V and press Enter.

  3. This sets the view direction to the user coordinate system. Text entered after this will appear as top view.
