Issue: 

When a PLM system or certain secondary development software performs batch processing of CAD drawing data in the background, such as batch conversion to PDF files or batch extraction of drawing data, the operation may fail.

The root cause is that during the process of opening drawings in ZWCAD, some drawings trigger the "Load Shape File" dialog box, as shown in the figure below.

This interrupts the drawing opening process and prevents subsequent operations from completing.

Is there a way to suppress this pop-up window?



Solution:

This pop-up cannot be closed in the options panel, and there is no corresponding close command.

It needs to be set to close in the registry.

  1. Press WIN+R simultaneously to open the "Run" dialog box, enter regedit, and open the Registry Editor.

  2. Navigate to 
    Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ZWSOFT\ZWCAD\****
    \en-US\Settings\UserConfig\ShxSubstituent.
    Modify the value of the ShxSubstituent field to 2, then save the changes.
