How to rename a layer?

Solution:

Method 1

  1. Open the menu Format → Layer (or use the LA command) to open the Layer Properties Manager.
  2. Select the layer to modify, then right-click to open the menu.
  3. Select Rename Layer, and enter the desired new name.


Method 2

  1. Open the menu Format → Rename (or use the RENAME command) to open the Rename dialog box.


  2. Set the object type to Layer.
  3. Select the layer name to be renamed, enter the new name, and click OK.
