Issue:

How to adjust the display/visual style of 3D models with ZWCAD?

Solution:

  1. The display effect of 3D models in ZWCAD can be adjusted in the menu View → Visual Style, including nine types, as shown in the image below.
There is no difference between 2D Wireframe and Wireframe in versions later than ZWCAD 2025, but raster images, OLE objects, line types, and line width cannot be displayed in Wireframe mode in the old version.
The difference between Realistic and Conceptual lies in the processing of curved surfaces, Realistic will convert the surface into small flat surfaces, which is rougher.

  2. Versions later than ZWCAD 2025 provide visual styles such as concepts, X-rays, and grayscale.
To adjust the visual styles, first switch the workspace into 3D Modeling mode, click Home → Views on the ribbon menu, click the Visual Style drop-down menu, and select the desired visual style.

  3. The visual style can also be switched through the document tab in the upper left corner of the drawing area in ZWCAD 2024 and above versions, which is more convenient and faster.
