Issue:

How to quickly navigate view switching in 2D model space or 3D visual style?

Solution:

ZWCAD 2025 and later versions have this functionality.

  1. The ViewCube is a navigation function used when handling graphic display in 2D model space or 3D visual styles.
You can use this function to rotate drawing content.
By default, the function model is located in the upper-right corner of the workspace, as shown in the figure below.

  2. The ViewCube model consists of 6 faces, 12 edges, and 8 vertices.
By default, it is positioned above the orientation compass and is in an inactive state.

① When the mouse is placed on the model, it becomes active.
When the mouse touches a face, edge, or vertex, these three controls will be highlighted in blue.
By clicking the controls, we can quickly switch to the standard view corresponding to the control perspective.

② When the mouse pointer drags the model, it becomes active and displays the view at the corresponding angle as you drag.

③ Only when the Front, Back, Left, Right, Top, or Bottom face is the main view,
four white arrows will appear around the model. Clicking different arrows will rotate the view in different directions.

  3. The Compass is located below the main body of the ViewCube and is used to indicate the defined north direction of the model.
It is marked with the four directions: east, south, west, and north. Each direction is connected by arcs.
  4. The small house icon shown in the figure below is the main view icon,
which can be used to quickly return to the main view position, as shown in the figure.
