Issue:
The installation path cannot be changed during ZWCAD installation. How to resolve this?
Causes:
A previous version of ZWCAD was installed on the computer but not uninstalled properly or completely, which prevents modifying the installation path.
Solution:
Try the following uninstallation methods in order of priority:
- Open Settings → Apps → Install apps, check for any versions of ZWCAD, then try uninstall them.
- Right-click the ZWCAD .exe installation package to extract files. Locate the main program (Zwcad.msi) and language pack (Eng.msi) in the extracted folder. Right-click each .msi file and select uninstall separately.
- Press Win+R to open Run, enter regedit to launch Registry Editor. Navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\. Search for entries with the product name "ZWCAD" (two entries: main program and language pack). Find the UninstallString field, copy its value data to Run, and confirm to start the uninstallation.
- Use a third-party uninstallation tool to remove the software.
