Issue:

When selecting an object by area selection, the selected objects are previewed in a highlighted state as shown in the image below. Objects within the selection area are displayed with highlighting during the selection process.

But when a large number of objects are selected at the same time, why are they no longer highlighted? 

Causes:

The display effect is controlled by the variable SELECTIONPREVIEWLIMIT. By default, this variable has a preset value of 20000, meaning that when more than 20000 objects are selected, the highlight will not be displayed.

Solution:

  1. When selecting a large number of objects and wanting to keep them highlighted, you can set the above variable to a higher value. However, it's important to note that the value range of this variable is 0 to 32767, meaning that the maximum number of objects that can be highlighted is 32767.
  2. Enter the variable SELECTIONPREVIEWLIMIT and increase its value to 32767.
