Issue:
In some dimension annotation text, the diameter symbol φ has been changed to the letter n as shown below. Why does this occur and how can it be resolved?
Causes:
This issue is related to the font. As is shown in the properties panel, the annotation text uses text replacement, and the AIGDT font is used in this example.
When opening this drawing on another computer using ZWCAD, the letter φ will be displayed correctly. Double-click the text to open the editor and selecting the letter φ, it shows that the font used is AIGDT.
Upon checking the C:\Windows\Fonts directory of the problematic user's computer, it is found that the AIGDT font was missing, causing ZWCAD unable to display the diameter symbol on the drawing correctly.
Solution:
- Copy the font from the C:\Windows\Fonts directory on another computer to the user's computer.
- Double-click the AIGDT font file, click the Install button, and the system will automatically install the font.
- After installation, restart ZWCAD, open the drawing, and the diameter symbol φ in the dimension annotation text will be displayed correctly.
