Issue:

The system variable SELECTIONEFFECT is set to 1, but when an element is selected, it is still displayed as a dashed line instead of being highlighted. Why is this?


Solution:

  1. The SELECTIONEFFECT system variable only takes effect when hardware acceleration is enabled.

  2. If you are using ZWCAD 2026 or a newer version, please click the Customize button in the bottom right corner first to enable Graphics Performance function as follow.
  3. Click the Graphics Hardware Settings button, enable the hardware acceleration function in the pop-up dialog box, then click OK.
