How to cut shapes in assembly?

Solution:

1. Open an assembly and click the Sketch command in Shape ribbon.
2. Create a profile and then click the Extrude command.
   
3. Click OK to extrude a entity in assembly.
   
4. Click the Cut command in Assembly ribbon.
5. Select the extruded entity as the Cutter.
6. Select the parts that need to be cut as the Components.
7. Tick the Propagate feature to components and Hide cutter.
8. Click OK to apply the cut.
