How to quickly extract the outline of this sketch and create the extrude feature?


Solution:

The Trace Profile allows you to create a track outline from an existing sketch geometry. You can use this command if you only want to use the specified circumference (outline) of the connected geometry as the basis for the sketch.

  1. Click the Trace Profile command in the Ribbon bar of the sketch.
  2. Select the outer contour to be extracted in turn.
  3. Apply Extrude to the selected outline.
