Issue:

The source file has been damaged and cannot be repaired. How to find the drawing files that automatically saved by ZWCAD?

Solution:

  • Solution one:
    1. Input the SAVEFILEPATH command in the command line.
    2. Command line prompts:
Enter SAVEFILEPATH's new value , or . for none <"Automatic Save File Location that defined by user">:
    3. Copy the path within double quotes into the address bar of Windows Explorer and open the auto-save file directory.
    4. In Windows Explorer, check File name extensions.

    5. Find the corresponding file with the file name extension zs$ and change it to DWG. By default, the system temporarily assigns the name filename_zws*****.zs$ to the automatically saved file, and the filename is the name of the current drawing.
  • Solution two
    1. Enter OPTIONS on the command line to open the Options dialog box.
    2. Switch to the File tab.
    3. Check the Automatic Save File Location.
    4. Copy the path to the Address Bar of Windows Explorer and open the auto-save file directory.
    5. In Windows Explorer, check File name extensions.

    6. Find the corresponding file with the file name extension Zs$ and change it to DWG.
  • Solution three:
    1. Press  Win+R and input %temp%, then press Enter to open the auto-save file directory.
    2. In Windows Explorer, check File name extensions.
    3. Find the corresponding file with the file type extension Zs$ and change it to DWG.
