When a ZWCAD MFG drawing is edited on another CAD software, the custom entities of the ZWCAD MFG (roughness, datum annotations, datum symbols, etc.) cannot be copied and pasted. What should I do?

Solution:

Custom entities in the ZWCAD MFG have unique properties and cannot be edited in other CAD software. They need to be converted into CAD regular objects through plugins before they can be edited.

  1. In ZWCAD MFG, click on the menu Tools → Load Application(APPLOAD command) and load the ZwMechEntToBlock 1.0.0.zrx plugin.
  2. Input the PROXYCONVERT command, select the custom entity in the drawing, and press Enter to confirm.
  3. Save the drawing. Then open the drawing on another CAD, and you can edit these custom entities.
