Issue:

To facilitate designers in maintaining uniformity in horizontal or vertical directions during dimensioning in ZWCAD MFG, the distance snap feature is enabled by default. Is it possible to disable this feature, and how can it be done?

Solution:

  1. Click on the menu Mechanical → Configuration(X) → Style Configuration(ZWMSTYLEMANAGER command) to open the Style Configuration dialog box.
  2. In the System library, select the current standard in use, and double-click on the Options of the standard to enter the Option.xml file with Notepad.

  3. In the Option.xml file, locate the position shown in the figure below, change the value of SrcName to 0, then save the file and save the standard accordingly.
  4. When restarting the ZWCAD MFG and labeling dimensions again, the function of distance snapping has been turned off.
