Issue:

When attempting to modify hotkeys, you may encounter situations where default shortcuts cannot be changed. For instance, the F9 shortcut for auto-align is inconvenient when using a laptop. How can these default hotkeys be modified? Take the modification of F9 as an example.

Solution:

Method 1:

  1. Navigate to Tools → Customize, and switch the dialog tab to Hotkey.

  2. Click on Export Hotkey Profile and Save.

  3. Open the document with Notepad, redefine the hotkey for auto align, and Save.

  4. Click Import Hotkey Profile to complete the modification of the default hotkeys.

Method 2:

  1. Press WIN+R on your computer to open the Run dialog, type %appdata%, and then click OK.
  2. In the opened dialog, locate and open the ZW3D user directory, as shown in the folder icon, then open the Keyboard.zcui with Notepad and redefine the hotkey for auto align, and Save. same as step 3 of method 1.

  3. After the modification, the hotkey will be updated in ZW3D.
