Issue:

When printing out the drawing with a printer, the lines were very light on the paper. Why and how to solve it?

Causes:

On the printed drawings, it is found that the lines are relatively light, which may be caused by the following reasons:

  1. Set color output to a black and white printer or select a Monochrome print style
  2. The printout color is not set to No. 7 black
  3. Fade (screening) is not set to 100 in the print style
  4. True color used in the drawing
  5. The graphic line width or output line width setting in the plot style table is too small
  6. The polyline line width setting is unreasonable
  7. The line is set to a dotted line.

Solution:

  1. Select the black-and-white plot style (Monochrome.ctb)

  2. Check whether the color is Black (No.7) in the Print Style Table Editor.

  3. Check whether the Screening is 100.

  4. Check whether the object color is Index Color, do not use True Color.

  5. Check the lineweight of the objects and try to set them larger.

  6. If the Polyline is too light, please check whether the width of the polyline is too small and try to set them larger.

  7. Please check if the Linetype is a Dashed line and correct it to the Continuous line.
