Issue:

ZWCAD uses .pc5 plotter configuration file, and AutoCAD uses .pc3 plotter configuration file. Is this possible to use .pc3 file in ZWCAD?

Solution:

  1. Download the conversion tool Pc3ToPc5 and convert .pc3 file to .pc5 file for use.
  2. Open the Pc3ToPc5 program and select the .pc3 file that needs to be converted.
Note: If you have a pmp file, please place it in the PMP Files folder in the directory where the pc3 file is located.
  3. Select a .pc5 file as a template, because the internal format of the pc3 file format is quite different from the pc5 file, and there are many types of different pc5 files that cannot be created directly in the program, you need to select a .pc5 file as a template.
Note: If you are converting DWG To PDF.pc3, just select DWG To PDF.pc5 as the template (pdf printer). If it is a physical printer, you need to use the Add A-Plotter Wizard to create the .pc5 file of the corresponding printer driver as a template. If ZWCAD's Add A-Plotter Wizard cannot create a physical printer, it means that ZWCAD cannot support it, and there is no point in converting it.

  4. Select the save location of the transferred .pc5 file.
  5. Click Convert to complete the conversion.
