Issue:

In surveying and mapping industries, most of the coordinates used are geographical coordinate systems, and the default coordinates in the ArcGIS module are projected coordinates. How to switch the coordinates in the ArcGIS module to geographical coordinates?

Solution:

  1. Click the Ribbon menu ArcGIS → Coordinate System → Assign Coordinate System (ESRI_COORDINATESYSTEM command).
  2. In the Coordinate system selector that pops up, click the drop-down arrow in the Type list to switch to the Geographic coordinate system.
  3. Search for the required coordinate system, click Set to complete the assignment of the coordinate system.
