Issue:

Open a drawing with an external reference attached in ZWCAD, but the external reference drawing is not displayed and the path is shown only.

Causes:

The reason may be due to the reference file being renamed or the directory being moved, deleted, etc., which results in the external reference file are not found.

You can put the Xref file and the DWG drawing in the same folder, or select the new path for the Xref file again in the External Reference panel.

Solution:

  1. Find Insert menu then click External Reference... to open External Reference (command XREF).
  2. Select the missing external reference file which is Not Found, then specify the new path of this file in Saved Path to replace the old path as below figure shown.
