Issue:

How to edit block in ZWCAD?

Solution:

  1. Double-click the block to edit the block.
  2. There are two ways to edit a block in ZWCAD. The first one is through the Block Editor, and the other one is through Edit Block In-place. There are differences between these two ways, you can select the block and then right-click the mouse to choose which one to use.

Block Editor (the command BEDIT): it is an independent space to edit the block, which won't show other entities that are outside of the block. You can reset the insertion point of the block, and you can set the dynamic block

In-place Editing (the command REFEDIT): you can choose to display or not display the entities outside of the block, and even you can set the fade color of the other entities, and the block can be edited by referencing with other entities. You can also add objects outside the block into the block, or move the objects out of the block.
  3. After finishing editing the block, click Close Block Editor (command BCLOSE) to exit. Or if you are using Edit Block In-place, click Save Reference to save the editing then click Close Reference (command REFCLOSE) to exit.
