Issue:

Generally, when selecting or cross-selecting a graphic, the grip points will be displayed. In some cases, the grip points are not displayed and only the selected graphic lines are dashed. Why is this happening?

Causes:

The system variable GRIPS controls whether grip points are enabled.

Meanwhile, the number of selected entities will limit the grip points display. When the number of selected entities exceeds this value in GRIPOBJLIMIT, the grip points will not be displayed and only the lines of the graphics will be dashed.

Note: Displayed grip points increase software computation, and excessive grip point displays can cause software to slow down or stuck.

Solution:

  1. Input the command OPTIONS and press Enter
  2. On the Selection setting, check Enable grips and set the number of object selection limit for display of grips.
