Issue:

Open the drawing with many layout viewports., some viewports do not display any content, as the figure below shows, the graphic content of the viewport in the up-right corner doesn't display.

Causes:

  1. Viewport property Display Viewport objects is set to No, as shown below.

  2. There are too many viewports created in the layout, exceeding the preset maximum value (MAXACTVP). CAD has limitations on the number of viewports that can be displayed simultaneously. The more viewports there are, the greater the amount of data CAD needs to process, which has a negative impact on CAD performance.

Solution:

  1. Set the Display Viewport Objects property value to Yes.

  2. Modify the maximum number of actived viewports, input the system variable command MAXACTVP and press Enter, then input a value that is larger than the number of viewports in the drawing.
