Issue:

When saving a drawing, it prompts "the drawing file is protected", and the drawing cannot be edited and saved. How to deal with it?

Causes:

  1. The drawing file is in "read-only" status.
  2. The software operation authority is restricted.

Solution:

Solution 1: When the drawing file is in "read-only" status

  1. Right-click the drawing, select Properties from the right-click menu, and check whether the Read-only option is checked, and if it is checked, it needs to be removed.
  2. In the Security tab, click the current login account of the system, and check whether the Permission is in Full control. If not, click Edit
  3. Select the current login account of the system, check Full Control in the Allow columns, click Apply→ OK, and the drawing permission modification is completed.
