Issue:

I have customized many templates in the Tool Palettes. How can you copy these templates to another computer and avoid having to customize them again?

Solution:

  1. Right-click on a blank space in the Tool Palette of the original computer, and select "Customize Palette".
  2. After selecting the Palette that needs to be used on another computer, right-click and choose "Export", then save the file. This will generate a .xtp file and a folder with the same name.

  3. Copy the generated file and folder to another computer.

  4. Right-click on a blank space in the Tool Palette and select "Customize Palette". Then, right-click in the custom options panel and select "Import", and choose the .xtp file to complete the import.

  5. If it includes the block library in the palette, users need to make sure the source file is located in the same directory in which it can be accessed on this new PC. If it is in a local folder, please copy the DWG files and specify the Source file for blocks (can multi-select, Press Ctrl or Shift key and select) in the palette after importing.
