Issue:

ZWCAD.exe launches separate windows every time when double click to open DWG file. Slow down computer performance and inconvenient to switch among drawing files.

Causes:

The default opening application for DWG files is not correctly associated with ZWCAD.

Solution:

  1. Open ZWCAD, run the command OP to open Options. Switch to User Preferences tab, click on Hide message settings and check DWG Files Reassociate with ZWCAD, then Apply & Close.
  2. Close and restart ZWCAD. When File Association Warning prompts, tick Remember the choice and do not show this message again. Then, click Yes to apply.
