Is it necessary for the version of ZWCAD to match the license version, and can a higher version of the software use the license of a lower version?

Causes:

The product version of ZWCAD must match the license, for example, the ZWCAD MFG must use the license of the MFG version, and the license of the professional version of ZWCAD cannot be used for ZWCAD MFG. This rule applies to the other products and modules as well.

When the product license is consistent, the yearly version authorization of ZWCAD is downward compatible. For example, the 2023 license can be used for lower versions (minimum 2017) such as 2023, 2022, and 2021. Conversely, it is not possible to use a lower version of the license for a higher version of the software.

When the software is started, the software first obtains the license that matches the product version. If there is no identical authorization, the software will try to obtain a higher version license. For example, in a floating environment of a network license version, if the server has 22 and 23 authorizations, and the client is version 22 software, the client will first try to obtain the 22 authorization. When the server's 22 authorization is occupied and cannot be provided, it will try to obtain the 23 authorization.

If there are plug-ins, it is necessary to ensure that the licensing model is the same. For example, if ZWCAD is authorized as a standalone version, the plug-in authorization must also be a standalone version in order to be used together.
