Issue:

Both the ZWCAD network license service and the client computer are correctly configurated. When the client software connects to the server (start ZWCAD for example), it causes the server a network interruption and cannot Ping through to the server. The network get back to normal after 10 minutes.

Causes:

Anti-virus software (e.g. Symantec) on the server forces a mandatory network break.

Solution:

  1. Add the client-side [zwcad.exe] and the server-side [lmgrd.exe] and [zwflex.exe] programs to the white list of anti-virus software.
  2. Modify the two ports used by the server-side ZWSOFT network license service, and then restart the service to make the two ports take effect.
    a. Open the [LicenseFile.lic] with Notepad in the installation directory (by default C:\Program Files\ZWSOFT\ZWSOFT Network License Manager).
    b. At the end of the first line and the second line, write one port number each (do not conflict with other programs).
    c. In the [License Configuration Program (LMTools)], switch to the [Start/Stop/Reread] tab, click [Stop Server], and then click [Start Server] to start the service so that the set ports can take effect.
