Issue: 

In layout space, the SCALE command is used to scale the viewport. By default, it is found that only the viewport itself is enlarged, while the graphics inside the viewport are not scaled, as shown in the figure below. The viewport is enlarged, but the objects inside the viewport do not scale with it.

How can it be set so that when the SCALE command is used to scale the viewport, the graphics inside the viewport scale along with it?

Solution:

This feature is available in ZWCAD 2025 and later versions.

The system variable VPSCALEASSOC controls whether graphics inside a viewport scale when the viewport is scaled.


  1. Enter the VPSCALEASSOC command in the command line.

  2. Set the value to 1. Now, when zooming the viewport, the internal view scales along with it, as shown in the figure below.
