Issue:

Why can't ZWCAD OLE objects be opened in Excel?

Cause:

This issue occurs when OLE objects were created by:

  1. Older ZWCAD versions

  2. Other CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD)

Solution:

  1. Open Start Menu→All Apps and locate the ZWCAD [Version] folder.

  2. Launch OLE Object Converter.

  3. Select the target ZWCAD version (e.g., ZWCAD 2026).

  4. Choose documents to convert.

  5. Click Convert; the converted files will be saved to the specified path.
