Issue:

In mold design, venting features are typically included. In ZW3D mold design, how can airvent shapes be created using simple feature settings?

Solution:

1.Select the MOLD → Airvent command.

2.Based on the model conditions, select the Parting face on which the air vent is to be created.

3.Select the Parting line closest to the part.

4.Define the airvent shape by filling in the parameters for Level 1, Level 2 & Level 3 vents .

Level 1: Represents the airvent shape closest to the part.
Level 2 & Level 3: Represent the subsequent airvent shapes that carry the gas already expelled from Level 1 further outward, continuing until the final vent shape.

5.In cases of interference with the part shape, the position of the airvent can be changed by adjusting the Point or Angle.

6.Click OK. By applying settings to different faces, the shape shown below can finally be created.
