Issue:

As shown in the figure below, the lines in the layout display exactly the same length,
but why are the dimension values different? How to solve this issue?

Causes:

For objects within the viewport, although the drawing is scaled,the dimensions will adapt and still using the original size.
However, graphics drawn outside the viewport will not.
To dimension with the original size,a new dimension style can be created based on the original oneand its measurement scale can be modified.


Solution:

  1. Click the menu DimensionDimension Style Manager (shortcut key D) to open the dimension style manager dialog box.
    Locate the dimension style being used, click New to create a copy dimension style, as shown in the figure below.

  2. On the Primary Units tab, enter the value in the Scale factor field.
    The corresponding value needs to be calculated
    (For example, if the dimension is twice the original size after being dimensioned, then enter
    0.5 here).
    Be sure to check Apply to layout dimensions only.
    Finally, click OK. When dimensioning in the layout afterwards, the values will be consistent.
