Issue:

As shown in the figure below, we needs to annotate a welding symbol, but the angle and root gap items are missing in the welding symbol dialog box. Why does this phenomenon occur?

Solution:

The setting of angle and root gap items in welding symbols are all in ISO, ANSI and JIS standard, and there are no relevant setting requirements in other standard such as DIN.

You can double-click on the drawing frame to open the Frame setup dialog box and change the Style Groups to ISO, ANSI or JIS.

If it needs to use the angle and the root gap items of welding symbols under other standard, please follow the following steps, here we use DIN as an example:

  1. Open the file one: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Zwsoft\zwcadm\2024\en-US\styles\ISO\WeldingStyle\ISO2019.xml.
  2. Open the file two: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Zwsoft\zwcadm\2024\en-US\styles\DIN\WeldingStyle\DIN.xml.
  3. Find the corresponding codes in file one, copy and replace the corresponding position in file two, and save the file.
  4. For example, when we need to add the ISO standard for single sided V-shaped welds with broad root face into DIN standard.
    (1) Find the relevant code in file one:

    (2) Find the relevant code in file two:

    (3) Copy and replace the relevant codes in file one with those in file two, and save the file.

    (4) The effect after replacement is shown in the following figure.
