Issue: 

Activation failed with the message "Windows could not start the FlexNet Licensing Service 64 on Local Computer. Error 5: Access is denied.". How to fix this?

Solution:

Method 1

  1. Press Win+R to open the Run dialog.
  2. Insert services.msc and open Services.
  3. Check if FlexNet Licensing Service is running.
  4. Start the service if it is stopped.

Method 2

  1. Add the following folders to the antivirus whitelist:
    • C:\Program Files\Common Files\Macrovision Shared\FlexNet Publisher
    • C:\ProgramData\FLEXnet
