Issue:

For relatively large threaded holes, using a tap is often not suitable. In such cases, a thread milling operation is recommended. So how to use Thread Mill function?

Solution:

  1.  Select the hole feature.
    The hole type and pitch are automatically detected in the hole feature parameters.
  2.  Choose the appropriate thread mill.
    Based on the actual cutting tool to be used, thread mills can be classified into three types: single-tooth, three-tooth, and full-tooth (multi-tooth). We can set the parameters following the actual cutting tools.
  3. Set the thread depth and cutting parameters.
    Specify parameters such as Bottom Thick (bottom thickness) and Number of Cuts.
  4. Adjust helical position for external threads.
