Issue:

After selecting an object, execute the BLOCK command to block objects. Why are the originally selected objects unselected, and is the software prompting to select objects?

Solution:

Method 1: Uncheck the Specify on screen option

  1. Execute the Block command and press Enter, open the Block Definition panel.
  2. Uncheck the  Specify on screen option → Click on OK.

Method 2: If the software still prompts “Nothing selected for the block” after following Method 1, as shown in the figure below:

       

       Input the command PICKFIRST and press Enter, then set the value to 1.

       Or, input the command OPTIONS and press Enter to open the Options dialog box, check the Noun/verb selection option → Click on OK.
