Issue: 

Is it possible to freeze an object's layer by selecting it directly within a block?

Solution:

  1. Click menu Express → Layers → Layer Freeze (or use the LAYFRZ command).

  2. Follow the prompts to select Settings → Block selection → Entity level nesting.

  3. Select the objects inside the block that require freezing. Their layers will then be frozen.
