Issue:

The activation of ZWCAD fails when scanning the QR code with a mobile phone. How to solve this problem?

Causes:

The license version does not match the installed software version. For example, activating a ZWCAD 2024 license on ZWCAD 2022.

Solution:

  1.  A computer with the correct ZWCAD version will be needed. Find the corresponding licensing file in the ShortCode folder under the installation directory.
    • PRO: Professional
    • EDU: Education
    • STD: Standard
    • 7DAYS, 15DAYS, 30DAYS: Trial period
    • Example: SC_ZWCAD2024_PRO_90DAYS.asr is for ZWCAD 2024 Professional 90-day trial.
  2. Select and copy the file that matches the activation license type.
  3. Paste the copied file into the ShortCode folder in the installation directory on the problematic computer. QR code activation will work properly.
