★★How to open DWG files associated with ZWCAD

Issue:

There are multiple CAD programs installed on the computer, and the default way to open DWG files is not ZWCAD. How can I set it to open with ZWCAD?

Causes:

When you open ZWCAD for the first time after installing it, you will be prompted to associate the DWG file.

At this time, you need to make a selection to be associated with ZWCAD.

If the prompt is closed, you can open it again to make a selection.

Solution:

Solution one:

1. Input the OPTIONS command to enter the Options dialog box, and check DWG Files Reassociate with ZWCAD in User Preferences → Hide message settings.
   
2. Reopen ZWCAD, there will be a DWG-related dialog box prompt, select Yes for the option.
   

Solution two:

1. Input WIN+R to open the Run dialog box and enter regedit to enter the Registry Editor dialog box.
   
2. Locate the following registries respectively.
   Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\.dwg value data is empty.
   
   Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ZWSoft\ZWCAD\2021\zh-CN\Profiles\Default\Config\_ZW_TFWTIME value data is changed to 2.
   
   Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ZWSoft\ZWCAD\2021\zh-CN\Profiles\Default\Config\FILETYPEASSOC value data is changed to 1.
   
3. Reopen ZWCAD, there will be a DWG-related dialog box prompt, select Yes for the option.
