Issue:

The dimension size is inappropriate, but why does the text size not change with the adjustment after modifying the annotation scale?

Causes:

The dimension scale is not set as an annotative scale.

Solution:

  1. Click Format → Dimension Style (or use the shortcut D) to open the Dimension Style Manager window.
    Select the current dimension style and click the Modify button.
  2. In the Fit tab, check the Annotative option under Scale for dimension features to change the dimension style to an annotative style, then click OK.
  3. A triangular icon appears in front of the current dimension style, indicating a successful conversion.
  4. Click the Automatically add scales to annotative objects when the annotation scale changes button at the bottom of the workspace to enable it (the lightning icon indicates it is on).
  5. Adjust the annotation scale again, and the dimension text size will update accordingly.
